Icomera AB, the world’s leading provider of cellular broadband gateways, has announced that PolskiBus.com, a new express inter-city coach service in Poland from Souter Investments, has deployed the Icomera M220 series on their vehicles to provide passenger WiFi and vehicle tracking.
PolskiBus.com will initially serve 16 cities in Poland and four other European capital cities through its international routes. The eight routes will serve Poland’s biggest cities as well as Berlin, Bratislava, Prague and Vienna from a hub in Warsaw. The State of the art coaches will offer passengers express intercity travel across Poland and Central Europe. Fares which start from just 1 zloty plus 1 zloty booking fee included a generous luggage allowance, with no hidden charges.

June 9th, 2011 - National Express Rolls out Icomera Wi-Fi on Stansted Airport Coach services
Icomera, the world’s leading provider of continuous connectivity solutions for transport, has been installed by National Express Group to enable passenger Wi-Fi on its coach services between Stansted Airport and the City of London.
Thousands of travellers are using free WiFi internet access on coaches between Stansted Airport and London.

April 8th, 2011 - 400 Stockholm Buses to Get Icomera X Series Platform
Icomera, the world's leading provider of open Internet connectivity and application platforms, has been selected to deliver its X Series routers to Nobina AB for installation on 400 buses in the Stockholm area. With its 5,000 employees and 2,100 buses, Nobina is the largest bus operator in Sweden and has a 30% market share for public bus transport in the country.
The system includes an IP video surveillance application from Icomera application partner Swedish Connection AB, with support for local storage and video offloading. The video management system includes a viewing station software with synchronised video display support.
Through the system, the Swedish police will be able to search and select in the recorded data and download GPS tagged video footage directly over the Internet. Nobina will also use the Icomera X Series platform to provide Internet services for passengers on selected routes.

Smartmove and Icomera Complete 100 Bus Roll Out of Media, Tracking and Wi-Fi for Rede Nacional de Expressos Portugal

The Icomera M200 Series Moovbox devices have been provided by Icomera distributor Tempel to provide internet and tracking as part of the solution delivered from Smartmove.
This successful pioneer project in Portugal has resulted from a partnership between Smartmove and ZON Empresas (www.zon.pt), the largest TV Telco operator in Portugal. The Smartmove offering consists of a system focused on passenger entertainment integrating three different systems: Free Internet Access, Digital Signage and GPS Tracking. These integrated solutions have made new in-vehicle possibilities available to Rede Nacional de Expressos's clients upgrading their travelling experience.

January 20th, 2011 - FirstGroup selects Icomera for provision of Wi-Fi on New Glasgow Airport Fleet
Chatham, Kent, January 20th 2011 – Icomera, the world’s leading provider of cellular broadband gateways, has announced that FirstGroup Plc has selected Icomera to provide broadband internet to passengers using its new airport to city Glasgow Shuttle service. The service began operating on January 1st 2011.
The Glasgow Shuttle fleet of ten new luxury buses represents an investment of over £1.5m in the service by FirstGroup and will be operated by First in Glasgow in association with Glasgow Airport and BAA. First in Glasgow have equipped the vehicles with the M200 series broadband gateways from Icomera, which enable passengers to access the internet at speeds up to up to several megabits per second, using a 3G HSPA network connection from O2.

December 16th 2010 - Stagecoach customers reach 1 million wi-fi sessions milestone
Icomera AB, the world's leading provider of cellular broadband gateways, has announced that Stagecoach Group plc, one of the UK's largest transport operators, will this month complete one million customer Wi-Fi sessions on its inter-city coach routes in the UK.
Stagecoach has invested in Icomera's passenger Wi-Fi system for key routes in Scotland, England and Wales as part its drive to attract people out of cars and on to public transport.
The system is in place on coach routes including London, Oxford, Cambridge, South Wales, Fife, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Dundee, Sheffield, and Chesterfield. It is also available on Oxford Tube, Europe's most frequent express coach service, and some routes operated by the leading budget coach service megabus.com.

February 2nd 2010 - Icomera delivers integrated advertising for in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspots.
Icomera has launched a new service that brings advertising to mobile Wi-Fi hotspots on trains and buses, and enables hotspot operators to generate revenues by offering targeted messaging to their customers. MoovManage Ads, an optional component of Icomera’s MoovManage web-based hotspot management service, allows operators to create and manage advertising campaigns and track their success. Advertisements are presented to hotspot users during their online session. It is estimated that hotspot usage increased in 2009 by 47%, bringing total worldwide connections to 1.2 billion [source: In-Stat]. MoovManage Ads provides a path for hotspot operators to increase usage by switching from paid to free Wi-Fi services, while retaining a way to generate income via targeted advertising.

September 28th 2009 - Icomera Connects US Fire Department Vehicles for Nuclear Emergencies.
Maple Grove Fire Department in Minnesota has chosen the award-winning Moovbox M200 to provide real-time, secure communication services on emergency response vehicles at broadband speeds. The Fire Department will take advantage of the dual redundant high-speed cellular links available in the Moovbox M200 to connect vehicles to a central command facility in the event of nuclear emergencies. The system was designed and provisioned by Icomera US distributor SinglePoint Communications of Portland, OR and included specialist public safety grade antennas and amplifiers to maximize signal quality and data throughput to the vehicles.

September 8th 2009 - Greyhound launches UK inter-city services with free Wi-Fi from Icomera.
Greyhound has selected Icomera's award-winning Moovbox M200 Mobile Broadband Gateway to provide Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS tracking on inter-city coach services in the United Kingdom. Greyhound, owned by Scotland-based transport giant FirstGroup plc, launched direct services from London to Southampton and London to Portsmouth with forty journeys each way, each day. The free Wi-Fi hotspot service will provide passengers with Internet access at speeds up to several megabits per second, using a 3G HSPA network connection from Vodafone. In addition to free Wi-Fi, passengers will benefit from at-seat power sockets, reclining leather seats and complimentary newspapers.
